SHERYL HEYSER

-SIMI VALLEY, CALIFORNIA, USA

In 2020, I lost several colonies to yellow jacket attacks. After researching, I discovered HiveGate by BeeIQ Solutions from New Zealand. I immediately fitted all my colonies with HiveGate entrances, and since then, I’ve had zero losses due to yellow jackets and no robbing. The product’s gauntlet-style design is highly effective. Additionally, the small entrance size prevents mice from getting in, which is a bonus for my location.

Fantastic! I don’t use Facebook, but I wanted to share my experience with HiveGate. Here in the coastal Pacific Northwest, yellow jackets are a huge problem this time of year. I’ve lost entire strong colonies in the past, including three hives on Halloween when yellow jackets beheaded thousands of bees. This year, thanks to HiveGate, the yellow jackets failed completely despite trying for two weeks. The bees held them off, even though the entrance is larger than my usual fall setup. I’m not sure exactly how it works, but I’m thrilled with the results. Thanks, Fred, for the recommendation!

GRASS APOSTI

- BEETOPIA NZ LTD

I have installed HiveGate on all of my hives at Beetopia NZ Ltd. I had tried various remedies and devices to protect the hives, but all to no avail. So it has been great to have a device like HiveGate that really and truly works!

CAROL

- COLORADO, USA

I purchased a couple HiveGates at Apimondia in Montreal to try out. First put it in a small hive under attack that needed all the resources they could get to make it through our Colorado winter. The HiveGate gave them a fighting chance. The bees were able to defend and the wasps gave up as they did not like running the gauntlet of the tunnel that only allows them to enter the hive under the cluster.

What is exciting about the HiveGate is that it shifts the entrance of the hive to the bee cluster.  The video footage really does show how the bees are effectively defending themselves, HiveGate is truly remarkable.
